Home<\/h1>\n

The idea that humans are superior to all other life forms is
\nnot rare. It is one of the most fundamental reasons for
\nhumanity’s careless destruction of our environment, animal
\ncruelty, war, and other immense problems. The Superior<\/em>
\n Human?<\/em> is the first documentary to systematically
\nchallenge this pompous, self-destructive ideology. The
\nproduction team and speakers include world-leading
\nacademics in their respective fields.<\/p>\n

They say that necessity sparks invention and that progress
\nis triggered by need, so why would a species that believes
\nit is the son of God, the goal of evolution and in domination
\nof everything on the planet ever need to change? Writer
\nand director invites viewers to test the
\ndurability of the pillars which hold our status above all
\nother life forms. Prepare to not only have your ego tested,
\nbut to be shocked by what has passed as science by
\ngovernments and leading academic institutions up until
\nnow. For example, did you know that dogs cannot feel
\npain?<\/p>\n

The film starts by cynically poking at a list of 18 commonly
\nreferenced reasons for our supposed superiority. For
\nthose who think our superiority is due to a perfect balance
\nof many reasons, this view is examined as well. Finally, it
\nasks if all these reasons are unfairly subjective and shows
\nviewers just how successful the human species is in terms
\nof survival. Producer, Dr Jenia Meng, hopes that the film will
\nstimulate intelligent debate on the topic of human
\nexceptionalism.<\/p>\n
